A group of Armenian experts from Economy and Energy Ministries who are on a business trip to Japan will supposedly return on March 16, spokesperson for foreign office Tigran Balayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He said the Armenian experts’ trip is over and they are in the city of Osaka at the moment. They will leave Osaka for Tokyo and then come to Yerevan via Moscow. Armenian citizens keep in touch with the Ambassador, he added.

On March 11, the biggest earthquake (9 magnitude) in the recent years hit the northeast of Japan, triggering a 10-meter tsunami and followed by several powerful aftershocks. The epicenter is located 373 to north-east from Japan’s capital, Tokyo at the depth of 24 kilometers.  The death toll may reach 10.000.
