The participants of the ANC-launched oppositional rally entered Liberty Square. Earlier, the demonstrators had surrounded the area. The Coordinator of the Armenian National Congress Levon Zurabyan held talks with police officers, particularly the Deputy Chief of Armenian Police Alexander Afyan for law enforcement agents to allow protestors to enter Liberty Square peacefully.

The protestors entered the square from Tumanyan Street, Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports from the site. The participants of the protest action are chanting “Now, Now!” enthusiastically.

At the moment several hundreds of policemen with shields and batons are in the square.

As reported earlier, at the moment leader of the Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian is on hunger strike in the Liberty Square. MPs from “Heritage party” Stepan Safaryan, Zaruhi Postanjyan, as well as a member of “Sardarapat” movement and film director Tigran Khzmalyan are also at the site.
