Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan participated in the Jeddah Economic Forum in Saudi Arabia. During the forum Erdogan touched upon the problems in the Middle East as well.

Erdogan referred to statements that Turkish authorities have adopted a policy of Neo-Ottomanism, Turkish Radikal newspaper reports. “Neo-Ottomanism is out of the question. This statement refers to allegations of ulterior motives. Each country should be confident that Turkey has a friendly and fraternal attitude towards it. This bloody policy is pursued by those forces, who are concerned over our sincere efforts. We are speaking only of brotherhood in the region,” Erdogan said.

It is noteworthy Saudi Arabia also distrusts Turkey’s sincere policy towards Islamic countries. It considers Turkey is adhered to Neo-Ottomanism.
