STEPANAKERT. – President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), Bako Sahakyan, on Tuesday attended the Artsakh Police Board reporting meeting to sum up the results of police activity in the first half of the current year.

The Artsakh Police chief as well as the officials in charge of various police divisions delivered corresponding reports, Central Information Department of the Office of the Republic of Artsakh President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his remarks at the meeting, President Sahakyan underscored the need for carrying out a principled and consistent work to ensure the safety of Artsakh’s population, maintain public order, protect human and civil rights, and fight against crime, and gave relevant instructions toward the resolution of existing issues.

Also, Bako Sahakyan noted the important role of the police in safeguarding the safety of people, and maintaining law and order in Artsakh within the framework of the 7th Pan-Armenian Summer Games it will host.
