In the course of his visit to Shirak region Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with family of Hovhannes Sukiasyan, a soldier killed in the line of contact in January.

He promised to do his utmost for peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict, presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“As a president of Armenia I promise to do everything for the conflict to be resolved peacefully,” he said adding it will be the best tribute to the memory of killed soldiers. “They managed to protect Motherland at the expense of their lives, while we should manage to make peace,” he noted.

President Sargsyan visited the grave of a killed soldier together with his relatives.
