The Communist Party of Armenia expresses its deep concern about the tense domestic political situation in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic).
The Communist Party of Armenia has issued a statement which reads as follows:
“The situation can become tenser after the rally organized by the Prime Minister of Armenia. Certain forces will try to take advantage of that and destabilize the situation based on their narrow personal and group interests, and this is inadmissible in the case of Artsakh. We Armenians must realize that Artsakh is the only achievement that we have made in the past thirty years, and we need to maintain it as something that is sacred because the enemy is always active and will try to take advantage of the created situation. We urge all sides to be sound and reasonable, not be venturesome, not escalate the situation and refrain from making provocations.
The problems need to be solved by negotiating around a table and based on pan-national unity, not by giving in to the ambitions of the West and destabilizing the situation in the region through the deployment of NATO peacekeeping troops, going against the interests of Armenia, the Russian Federation and Iran and putting our statehood and security at risk.”
