Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad tweeted a video from the wedding of a girl from Iran and said that it made her cry.

According to her, the video was shot in Bahmai County, Boyer-Ahmad province in Iran.

“This a wedding party for a girl who is under 13 years old. I cried when I received this video from Bahmai County which is a county in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province in Iran.  Under Islamic laws 13-year-old girl can marry but cannot choose her dress code,” she tweeted. 

Over a thousand people shared the video, many users in the comments were indignant at the tradition and felt sorry for the child. One of the women called on public organizations to pay attention to the incident. She was outraged by the parents of the girl, who did not look sad.
