YEREVAN. – It’s the sixth day that Sanitek company has not gone out to garbage disposal, and this is a basis for starting a process, Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan on Wednesday told reporters.

And asked what process this is about, Marutyan responded that it was about a legal process.

The crisis over Sanitek began after Marutyan became the mayor of the capital city of Armenia.

The Yerevan Municipality accuses this company—which carries out the waste management of the city—of misuses.

Sanitek, for its part, accuses the municipality of not fulfilling his financial obligations.

As a result, there is a garbage collection crisis in Yerevan for the past several months now.
