Gas price for Armenian consumers will not be raised this year, Chairman of ArmRusgasprom Board Vardan Harutyunyan told reporters on March 30, during his visit to Hrazdan hydro power plant.

Harutyunyan stressed moreover, it will be reduced for socially vulnerable sections of population.

“On the Armenian President’s initiative, gas price for socially vulnerable sections of population will be reduced. According to preliminary information, the number of these families makes 49,500. However, the lists are to be clarified and their number may increase,” Harutyunyan noted.

“These consumers will pay 100 AMD per 300 cubic meters. Those consuming over 300 cubic meters a month will pay 132 AMD,” he noted.
