The second unit of the Armenian nuclear power plant stopped producing electricity on April 3 at 13:45 local time. Unit stopped its work under technical charter of the nuclear power plant which provides for an annual stoppage to conduct repair works and cleaning.

Unit will undergo repair and condensers will be cleaned in the next few days, press service of the Armenian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

Electricity production at nuclear power plants will partially resume on April 7. The unit will fully join electricity network on April 19.
