Clashes took place in Beirut between anti-government demonstrators and supporters of the Shiite Hezbollah party and the Amal movement, TASS reports.
Those gathered threw stones at each other. Security forces used tear gas to disperse them. According to reports, about five people were injured.
The wave of mass protests in Lebanon began on October 17, and they led to the resignation of the coalition government led by PM Saad Hariri, who now serves as acting PM.
