YEREVAN. – The development of information technologies has been among top priorities of Armenian government within the recent 10 years, however, there is a lack of professionals in the sphere, Chairman of the Union of Information Technologies Enterprises (UITE) Hovhannes Avoyan, told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to him, this is the main obstacle to development of IT field in Armenia. Avoyan stressed that UITE is taking significant steps in staff training.
“The number of IT professionals should be raised,” Avoyan noted.
Currently Armenia cannot be considered an IT country due to few experts, he added.
