YEREVAN. - The Armenian nuclear power plant has resumed producing electricity.

The second unit of the Armenian NPP was connected to network producing electricity at 5:23 p.m. on Friday, press service of the Armenian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The unit still undergoes repair and cleaning. It will fully join electricity network on April 19.

The second unit stopped its work on April 3 under technical charter of the nuclear power plant which provides for an annual stoppage to conduct repair works and cleaning.
