Chinese Yujing Zhang, who illegally entered the estate of US President Donald Trump Mar-a-Lago, was sentenced to eight months in prison on Monday, BBC reported.

Jurors found Zhang guilty of entering the territory of Trump's residence and giving false testimonies.

She has been in custody since her arrest in March and can be released within a few weeks.

In early April, a Chinese woman with two Chiense passports, four mobile phones and a flash drive with malware illegally entered the Mar-a-Lago estate of Trump in southern Florida.

Zhang tried to convince the Trump residence security guards that she intended to use the swimming pool located on the territory of Mar-a-Lago, and was able to enter the estate after one of the guards confirmed that her last name coincides with the name of one of the members of the closed club Mar-a -Lago.

After the Chinese woman was on the territory of the Trump estate, she stated that she arrived to participate in a certain event of the Sino-American Association under the auspices of the UN, while there were no such event bing held. According to media reports, the woman showed the security officer an invitation to an event that he could not read, because the text was written in Chinese.

After that, the woman was removed from the territory of the Trump estate and detained. During interrogation, she reported that her Chinese friend, Charles, told her to attend a UN-sponsored event in Palm Beach to discuss Sino-US international economic relations with a family member of the US president.
