Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan has refuted the news about the Azerbaijani army’s attempt of sabotage penetration.

“The news about sabotage doesn’t correspond to reality. That’s all,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

In an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am, Artsrun Hovhannisyan had said that he neither denied nor confirmed the news about Azerbaijan’s attempt of a large sabotage penetration.

As reported earlier, last night, the armed forces of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) suspended Azerbaijan’s attempt of grand sabotage penetration.

According to Armenian News-NEWS.am, the attempt of sabotage penetration was made by two groups (20 members and 14 members) in the direction of Martakert.

The Armenian side acted in an operative manner and prevented the adversary’s operations, and this led to intensive shooting. The Azerbaijani side retreated and took the one heavily wounded saboteur. The Armenian side didn’t suffer casualties.
