Tsunami warning was issued in Japan after 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck the country on Monday. Tremors were felt in capital Tokyo.

Japan marked one month after a devastating earthquake and tsunami hit the country on March 11. According to latest data, the death toll reached 13,000.

Armenian NPP, the only nuclear plant in the region, is located near the town of Metsamor, 30 km south from Yerevan, Armenia’s capital. In an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan said Armenia will not renounce its intention to develop nuclear power even after Japan accident.
