Minister of Justice of Armenia Rustam Badasyan today attended the meeting with representatives of donor partners, including the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank’s Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative, the European Commission, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the United Nations Development Programme, as well as officials of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

During the meeting, Rustam Badasyan presented the anti-corruption measures in Armenia, the main directions for reforms and the future actions. The measures, reforms and actions mainly concerned the toolkit of the already established Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, the functions of the to-be-created Anti-Corruption Court and Anti-Corruption Committee, the implementation of anti-corruption education programs and the legislation to introduce civil-legal mechanisms for forfeiture of assets without indictment.

The justice minister and the partners of donor organizations also discussed the potential areas of cooperation in the future.
