The new representatives of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission are Artak Kamalyan (Republic of Armenia) and Gegham Vardanyan (Republic of Armenia). Artak Kamalyan has been appointed member (minister) of the Board for Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex and will replace Alexander Subotin (Republic of Belarus), and Gegham Vardanyan has been appointed member (minister) of the Board for Internal Markets, Digitization and Information and Communication Technologies and will replace Karine Minasyan (Republic of Armenia).

The representatives of the Republics of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Federation will continue to serve as members of the Board.

It was decided that the Republic of Belarus will chair the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Armenia will transfer the chairmanship to Belarus.

In regard to expiry of the term of powers of the ministers of the Eurasian Economic Commission (they are appointed for a term of four years), the members of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council approved the new composition of the Board of the Commission, which will launch activities on February 1, 2020.

On that day, representative of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich will assume the office of chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission for a four-year term. Until recently, he was the chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
