YEREVAN. - In January-March 2011, Armenia’s largest taxpayers (about 440 economic entities) paid a total of AMD 49.2 billion as taxes and AMD 10.2 billion as social payments against AMD 38.8 billion taxes and AMD 8.3 billion social payments in the corresponding period last year.

The State Revenue Committee informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that, in January-March 2011, Armenia’s largest taxpayers ensured a 26.8% increase in budget revenues and a 22.8% increase in social payments.

Ashot Arzumanyan of the State Revenue Committee reported that, in January-March 2011, large businesses’ share in the total tax revenues showed a 4.4% increase.
