A 5,2 magnitude earthquake hit Iwaki prefecture of Japan on Wednesday. The quake epicenter was 31 km south-west of Iwaki prefecture at the depth of 31,3 km, RBK reports referring to U.S. geological Survey (USGS).

There are no immediate reports of injured. No tsunami warning was issued.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, a 6,3 magnitude earthquake hit the coast of Chiba prefecture, east of Tokyo on Tuesday.

The tremors were felt in Tokyo. There are no reports of injuries or damages. Tokyo subway and Narita international airport in Chiba prefecture suspended their work, Lenta.ru reported.

On March 11, the largest earthquake (9 magnitude) in the recent years hit the northeast of Japan, triggering a 10-meter tsunami and followed by several powerful aftershocks. The epicenter is located 373 to north-east from Japan’s capital, Tokyo at the depth of 24 kilometers. A massive earthquake damaged cooling functions of the Fukushima nuclear plant, making the operator to pour seawater into reactors and let out radioactive air into atmosphere.

Over 14,000 people remain missing as Japan marked one month after a devastating earthquake and tsunami hit the country on March 11. According to latest data, the death toll reached 13,000. A total of 400 aftershocks were registered in the country following the massive quake.
