Russia takes care of internal political processes in Armenia, said Russian envoy to Armenia Sergei Kopyrkin on Tuesday.

According to him, Russia is very careful about what is happening in Armenia and the internal processes that are taking place.

“It is very important that the situation in Armenia is peaceful, stable, so that the maximum possible consensus of political and social forces is achieved,”  he saod.

As Kopyrkin noted, the key moment for Russia is the preservation, strengthening, and development of existing allied relations. As for the use of this issue in the domestic political agenda, for Russia, according to the diplomat, it is not the political situation that is important, but the preservation and strengthening of the core of bilateral relations.

“And we will work to ensure that this happens,” he noted.

Touching upon the speculations themselves on this subject, the ambassador noted that he treats them very negatively.
