Armenian-Slovenian trade needs increasing. Also, the sides need to start negotiating economic investments, Slovenian President Danilo Turk told on a press conference in Ljubljana, held jointly with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan, who is on an official visit to Slovenia.

Armenia and Slovenia have cultural ties and need to raise the level of cooperation in tourist industry, energy, agriculture and high technologies, the Slovenian President said. The nations are also willing to cooperate in dealing with important political issues, Danilo Turk added.

Slovenia is contributing to the OSCE Minsk Group’s efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, one of the most protracted conflicts in Europe, the Slovenian president said.
