YEREVAN. - Corruption is showing an upward tendency in Armenia. A survey conducted under the Mobilizing Action against Corruption (MAAC - USAID) project shows a 10% rise in corruption level in Armenia.

The country’s judicial and election systems pose the highest corruption risks. Polls conducted in different Armenian regions involved 1,500 citizens. The survey results show Armenia’s high-ranking officials to be most corrupt. According to the survey, the Prosecutor’s Office and Central Electoral Commission are the most corrupt agencies, while healthcare and education are the most corrupt sectors.
