Hungary is interested in peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict, said Hungarian Ambassador to Armenia (residence Tbilisi).

Asked by Armenian News-NEWS.am about resolution on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Hungarian diplomat confirmed the draft resolution exists.

“In relation to your question I have the pleasure to inform you about the following based on information I received from the Hungarian National Assembly:

Hungary is interested in the peaceful settlement of the conflict that is in full line with the decisions of the International Organizations. Three members of the opposition party Jobbik (The Right), namely Gábor Vona, Márton Gyöngyössi and Tamás Hegedűs indeed submitted a Draft Resolution regarding Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the house rules it should first be discussed in the Commission for Foreign Affairs. The Commission has no plans to put the subject on agenda of the Commission. Even if the Commission would discuss the subject, - according to the present practice - such Draft Resolutions are put on agenda of the Plenary Session only in case if the Commission unanimously supports it. This is very unlikely,” reads an e-mail reply received by Armenian News-NEWS.am.
