A presentation of the book entitled “The Armenian Genocide in Georgian periodicals, 1914 to 1918” will be held at the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia on Wednesday.

The Armenian community in Georgia reports that the volume includes articles on the Armenian Genocide kept at the Periodicals Division of the Library of the Georgian parliament.

The volume covers the period from early 1914 to mid-1918 thus enabling readers to keep track of the developments from January 1914, a few months before Turkey got involved in World War I, to May 1918, when Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan declared independence in the former territory of Russian Empire.

The periodicals in Georgian archives, which have not so far been studied on the subject of Armenian Genocide, contain valuable information that has not until now been available to the public.

The volume was compiled and published by the Armenian community in Georgia and Armenian Student Association in Georgia, under the auspices of the European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy (EAFJD) and Armenian community in Georgia.
