All 69 passengers on the Milan-Yerevan flight that arrived at noon today were checked. Epidemiologist Hayk Karapetyan, head of the border medical-sanitary inspection point at Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport, told this to RFE/RL.

One passenger who arrived with the Milan-Yerevan flight was hospitalized because he had signs of respiratory infection a few days ago. "One of the passengers noted that he had some health problems the day before, so we have hospitalized him for additional tests under laboratory conditions," Karapetyan said.

The decision to undergo the test will be made at the Yerevan infection hospital. Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan urges not to separate this hospitalized passenger. "He is not the only person currently in our infection hospital,” he said. There are many people waiting for their [test] results.”

According to the minister, these tests are an ongoing task, 135 peoples have already been tested, and the coronavirus infection has been ruled out in others, with one exception.

Those arriving on the Milan-Yerevan flight entered Zvartnots' arrival hall mostly with face masks, but said there was no panic in Italy.
