Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu failed to mention that any conflict connected with Nagorno-Karabakh must be settled exclusively through peace. This is what deputy of the My Step faction of the National Assembly Hovhannes Igityan told reporters today, touching upon the meeting of the Turkish foreign minister and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
“The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs didn’t issue a statement on the meeting, but they used to issue statements. I don’t think they will since Cavusoglu’s statements go against the statements that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs have been making over the past twenty years,” he said.
Talking about the relations between Turkey and Russia, Igityan stated that he hasn’t noticed escalation and that Turkey is not part of the plans of its partners and allies. “Turkey has violated the agreement with its partners and allies, and it’s not just about Russia. It’s clear that Turkey and Russia have problems because the whole world has a plan to achieve peace in Syria, but Turkey violated the plan,” he said.
