Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Japan has been postponed amid the coronavirus outbreak, Japan Times reported.

PM Shinzo Abe formally invited Xi Jinping to visit Japan during last year's G20 Summit in Osaka. The last state visit of the Chinese president to Japan took place in 2008, and this visit should be a symbol of the thaw in relations between the two countries. However, an outbreak of coronavirus postponed the visit.
