There are cases within the public administration system when the steps that are taken don’t correspond to the steps that should be taken after a revolution, and in such cases, necessary decisions are taken. This is what Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan told reporters today. According to him, among those steps are the reforms after which some people have stopped working within state bodies. “However, it is necessary to have an independent judiciary in order to talk about legal processes,” he said.

Armen Grigoryan voiced hope that this issue will also be solved after the referendum for constitutional amendments in April. “As for Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan’s statement on traitors at the higher levels of the law-enforcement authorities, if it was necessary, the Prime Minister would state names,” the Secretary of the Security Council stressed, yet failed to clarify whether Pashinyan referred to former Chief of Police Valeriy Osipyan and former Director of the National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan or not.
