Based on the results of the talks with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Russia Vladimir Putin informed that the countries have found an acceptable solution for the tension in Idlib, reports TASS.
“We don’t always agree with our Turkish colleagues when it comes to our assessments on what has happened in Syria, but based on the high level of bilateral ties, Russia has always succeeded in finding common ground in regard to disputed issues and achieve acceptable solutions, and this was the case this time as well,” Putin reported.
Russia and Turkey have agreed on a joint document on the settlement of the Syrian issue. According to the Russian leader, the agreements at the summit of Russia and Turkey must put an end to the sufferings of the peaceful civilians in Syria. “I hope these agreements serve as a good basis for termination of military operations in Idlib, put an end to the sufferings of peaceful civilians and the growth of the humanitarian crisis and create conditions for all the conflicting sides to continue the peace process in the Syrian Arab Republic. The talks with Erdogan were difficult, but ended positively,” he declared.
