Iranian diplomat and former MP Hossein Sheikholeslam died on Thursday aged 68 from coronavirus, Business Insider reported.
He served as Iranian ambassador to Syria and was an adviser to the country's foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Earlier on March 2, a member of Expediency Discernment Council Mohammad Mirmohammadi died from coronavirus.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 2992 people were infected with coronavirus, 92 people died, 552 patients were discharged from hospitals as of March 4 in Iran.
