YEREVAN. – In other words, should we close the borders and say that the rejected politicians have no right to leave the borders of Armenia? And in lieu of those wanting to meet them, should we decide that they should not meet with rejected politicians? Suren Grigoryan, a member of the majority My Step faction at the National Assembly of Armenia, noted this during a briefing in parliament, speaking about third President Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Brussels.

"I think that would not be logical," he added. “As to the question of how the person was absent from the country if there was a signature [bond] not to leave [the country], we are not the addressees of that matter, and I hope its clarifications were given by the relevant investigating body. The rest is up to the will of the parties that are meeting."

Another My Step MP, Sisak Gabrielyan, in turn, said: "I want Serzh Sargsyan to travel around the world as long as he still has that opportunity."
