Chinese President Xi Jinping began on Tuesday his trip to Wuhan - the epicenter of the COVID19 outbreak, Reuters reported.

Xi Jinping will reportedly get acquainted with the measures taken to fight coronavirus. He will “visit and express regards to medical workers, military officers and soldiers, community workers, police officers, officials and volunteers who have been fighting the epidemic on the front line, as well as patients and residents during the inspection,” state news agency Xinhua said.

The outbreak of the new coronavirus was recorded in late December 2019 in Wuhan. The World Health Organization said the threat of a coronavirus pandemic 'has become very real.' There are over 110,000 cases of coronavirus infection around the world and nearly 3,800 deaths.
