YEREVAN. – Famous Armenian weightlifter Yuri Vardanyan is in intense care department, his doctor Sahak Saribekjyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Vardanyan is receiving treatment at Erebuni medical centre. According to the doctor, Vardanyan underwent operation, but he is not in coma.

Vardanyan is recovering after the operation, Press secretary of Armenian Health Minister Shushan Hunanyan said.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Adviser to Armenian President, famous Armenian weightlifter Yuri Vardanyan had a car accident on Yerevan-Gyumri highway, on October 8. His Lexus collided with a tractor. Yuri Vardanyan was hospitalized and operated on October 10
