Acting Director of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, Eduard Martirosyan, solemnly conferred the Medal of Honor posthumously awarded to legendary intelligence officer Gohar Vardanyan to her niece Anahit Pahlevanyan.

Martirosyan, on behalf of the NSS staff, expressed his gratitude to the relatives of this prominent intelligence officer.

Pahlevanyan, in turn, noted that she is very proud and happy that the great work done by legendary Soviet intelligence officers Gevorg and Gohar Vardanyan and the service rendered to their homeland received such praise in their homeland.

The relatives of Gevorg and Gohar Vardanyan presented this posthumous Medal of Honor to the National Security Bodies’ Museum of Armenia.
