Belarus has not implemented such programs outside the country, but there is nothing difficult for us in planting 10 million trees in Armenia, given that more than 160 million trees are planted annually in our country. Belarusian Minister of Forestry Vitaly Drozhzha said this in a conversation with reporters in Armenia.

The Minister lauded the Armenian government’s plan to double the forest area in the country by the year 2050.

As reported earlier, the Armenian-Belarusian Friendship Forest opened Friday on the shores of Lake Sevan in Armenia, and Drozhzha was also on hand at the opening ceremony.

To note, it is planned to plant 10 million trees in Armenia this year.
