YEREVAN. – The revenue share of the Yerevan budget for 2020 has increased by 1 billion 700 million drams, and the expenditure part by 9 billion 248 million drams. The corresponding decision was made at Thursday’s session of the Council of Elders.
Presenting the draft decision, Deputy Mayor Hayk Sargsyan clarified that several changes were being made to the 2020 budget of Yerevan. Accordingly, the budget for the payment of the grants for the EU program along the lines of hazardous waste management has been increased by 406 million drams, and funding been increased also under several other programs.
It should be noted that today the Yerevan Municipality has admitted that in 2019, it had virtually failed to implement the budget of Armenia’s capital city, as it was fulfilled only by 70.5%.
