Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on President Obama’s annual address to Armenians on Genocide Remembrance Day.

Erdogan noted U.S. President made such statement as he knows “Turkey’s sensitivity towards the issue”, Turkish TRT television reports.

Turkish PM also touched upon relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“Armenian-Turkish protocols will not be ratified until peace is established between Armenia and Azerbaijan. I told Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan about it,” he said.

In his address to the Armenian community President Obama used the term Meds Yeghern (Arm. Great Massacre) without qualifying the crime as genocide.
