Russia hopes to resolve the issue of restoring air links with Georgia in the near future, TASS reported referring to the Russian FM Sergei Lavrov.
According to him, Russia is ready to discuss with Georgia the possibility of opening trade missions if such an offer comes from Tbilisi.
“We will be ready to restore diplomatic relations, since we were not the initiators of their breakup,” he said. “Probably, we need to wait until the Georgian colleagues approach this issue.”
