Brent oil fell below $16 a barrel; trading data attest to this, according to TASS.
Earlier, the June futures of this oil fell 13.55 percent at the London ICE stock exchange, falling to $16.71 a barrel and falling below $17 a barrel for the first time since November 2001.
The WTI oil futures fell 4.75 percent to $11.02 a barrel.
