YEREVAN. - A velvet revolution has started in Armenia, said Levon Zurabyan, member of the opposition Armenian National Congress.

Speaking at a rally held in Armenia’s capital Zurabyan noted that after three years of repressions the authorities were urged to realize that they cannot but reckon with the ANC.

“People are slowly taking control of domestic political processes,” Zurabyan said adding that we are witnesses of rapid developments.

Oppositionist called on the participants to continue struggle against “criminal and oligarchic regime”.

The participants welcomed seven ANC activists who still remain under arrest.
