YEREVAN. - Prices have fallen 0,2% In Armenia in April, following the 5.2% inflation recorded in the consumer market in the first quarter of 2011, National Statistic Service of Armenia reports.

The inflation makes 8.9% when compared to 2010 figures from the same time period. This is the first time in 2011, when the monthly inflation for 12 months is expressed in a single digit. Compared to December 2010 the inflation makes 5%.

Earlier Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan and the chairman of  Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) Arthur Javadyan stated that decrease of the inflation rate will continue and in case nothing extraordinary happens in international markets, the inflation at  the end of the year will be in the range of 6%.
