The number of COVID-19 cases in Iran is nearing 110 thousand, IRNA reported.

According to Iranian health ministry's spokesperson Kianoush Jahanpour, 45 more Iranians died from COVID-19 in a day.

In the meantime, 87,422 people out of a total of 109,286 infected have recovered, while the death toll has reached 6,685.

The Iranian official noted that 2,703 people are in critical condition.

According to Jahanpour, 601,324 tests have so far been carried out in Iran.
