Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the end of a single period of non-working days in the country from May 12, RIA Novosti reported.

According to him, the measures taken allow moving to a phased easing of restrictions. Final decisions remain with the regions. 

As he noted, all sanitary requirements must be maintained. All public events are still banned.

Self-isolation mode will still apply for people over 65 and people with chronic diseases.
