An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 was recorded on Monday off the California coast, TASS reported referring to the US geological survey.
According to it, the epicenter was located 252 km west of the city of Eureka with a population of 27 thousand. The hotbed lies at a depth of 10 km.
No damage or casualties have been reported yet.
