Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on dismissal of the minister of culture Abulfas Garayev, AzerTAc reported.
A few days ago, Garayev's deputy and the head of one of the departments of the ministry of culture were arrested for corruption.
Garayev has been holding ministerial posts for 26 years.
