During a briefing held after the session of the Commandant’s Office for the state of emergency in Armenia today, Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan talked about the health conditions of patients with the coronavirus and declared that there are 269 patients in critical condition, 51 in extremely critical condition and 15 patients breathing through ventilators.

According to him, the Ministry of Health will continue to build the capacities of the healthcare system since experience has shown that this needs to be done while living with the virus.

“Wearing face masks the right way has a direct impact on the number by which we measure the pace of the spread of the virus. If we move forward by following the rules, Armenia has all the chances to keep the coronavirus manageable and reduce the number of cases. We call on everyone to not believe the fake news that question the effectiveness of face masks or washing hands frequently or other measures that we recommend. This will become an ordinary environment in which we, our children and parents will live,” he said.
