Turkey has paid the largest amount of fines for violation of the European Convention on Human Rights, says the report of the European Court of Human Rights.
Human rights violations cost Turkey about €25 million last year, RFE/RL reported. The majority of complaints were filed by Kurds.
Romania and Russia shared the second line paying about €7.5 million each. They are followed by Italy and Portugal.
