In 2019, the Armenian ministry of justice was actively fighting against corruption, justice minister Rustam Badasyan said on Tuesday.

According to him, several measures had been taken to eradicate corruption in the penal institutions of the republic.

“We also actively cooperated with the parliament," he noted referring to a law adopted to combat criminal subculture.

As the minister noted, in 2019, work was carried out to repair the sewage system at the Nubarashen prison.

"As you know, a new food system has been introduced in these institutions. In particular, private companies continue to organize catering," he added.
