Austria's MFA announced strong support for the International Criminal Court (ICC) amid a decree by US President Donald Trump on sanctions against its employees, RIA Novosti reported.

"Austria strongly supports the @IntlCrimCourt and the rule of law in international relations. The #ICC must conduct its investigations independently and impartially without outside pressure or interference. @ICC_PASP," it tweeted.

The White House said earlier that President Donald Trump has signed a decree on sanctions against ICC investigations against military and other employees in the US, accusing the international organization of biased investigations and corruption.
